Unit 1 Theme Project:  Why is Learning Important?
Unit 1 Research Question: 
In this unit, you will read about ways to learn and why  learning is important.  Choose something you would like to learn more about.  Research and write as much as you can about this topic and why it interests you.

1.  Organize your ideas by making a circle map about a topic that interests you.
Using PowerPoint or Microsoft Word (Print Out)

2.  You will create a circle map to organize ideas and information for each question.  If you have four questions, you will create four circle maps.  Inside each circle map, you will record information you learned as you researched.  Outside your circle map, you will write the resources you used.  Make sure to color code so you know what information came from what resource.  You may draw your own circle map or use the PowerPoint template to organize your informaton.  Circle Map (PowerPoint)

3.  You will use your thinking maps to synthesize your information to write about the topic you researched.  You will include a topic sentence, middle paragraphs, and a  closing paragraph.  You will revise and edit with a partner.
